| We’ve made it – summer is finally here and with the royal wedding still fresh in our memories now’s the perfect time to roll your sleeves up and get your big-day plans underway. I love this time of the year, there’s so much to be happy about sunshine, bright blooms, al-fresco dining and endless evenings to name a few. Mix that with love, laughter, friends and family and you’ll have the perfect combo for your special day. Summer lends itself to bohemian laid-back styling and if this is your thing, you’ll love our bridal fashion feature on page 62. Our real weddings from page 32 are also brimming with inspiration and, drum roll please, the time has come to announce the winners of our Wedding of the Year competition 2017! Cressbrook Hall
This Tudor-style mansion was built in 1835 by a Manchester industrialist who fell in love with the scenic location and fabulous Peakland views. Behind its magnificent façade, the venue boasts all the comforts of a gracious country home with many original features and antique fittings. Couples can choose to tie the knot in one of five locations at the hall. The Inner Hall is for intimate ceremonies of up to 15 guests and the Drawing Room accommodates up to 40. The Granary/Conservatory is a split area that seats 100 guests and the Orangery has space for up to 95. Ceremonies can also take place outside in the Floral Archway that caters for 100. This venue can host receptions for up to 96 in the day increasing to 150 in the evening.
