Just a wedding

When Mark Lee from Mark Lee Photography set up this shoot at Cheshire's Park Manor, he wanted to seek out like minded suppliers to collaborate on creating stunning inclusive images; and what better showcase this gorgeous shoot than Pride Month! Mark says, "For months I've been coming across posts on Facebook on issues from the LGBTQ+ community over double standards within the wedding industry. Some finding that they were being charged more or that some suppliers just wouldn't work with a same sex couple. Then a supplier wanted to know how to create a logo for same sex supplier so not to offend. And another supplier unsure how to word his contract... this got me thinking. Why is this so difficult? Why does there need to be an issue regardless of who you are and who you want to marry? The law has changed so why are people still living in the dark ages? It's time to accept everyone."

Check out this sophisticated and elegant shoot at Hackthorn Estate

Situated in Lincoln, Hackthorn Hall provided the perfect setting for this elegant shoot which featured a soft, romantic colour palette with blush, apricot, cream, white and gold hues. The day demonstrates to couples how luxurious weddings could be created for 15 guests to fit COVID-19 restrictions.Shoot coordinator Ruby Adds at Love Birds, Wedding & Events carefully selected local suppliers to take part based on their high- standard of work, creativity and passion – all important aspects when picking a dream team. Ruby says, "Once I had my chosen suppliers onboard, I set out to find the perfect venue for the shoot and discovered the stunning Hackthorn Hall. I instantly knew it was the perfect location, even though it meant risking the British weather in October for an outdoor shoot – I knew it would be worth it!"

Paws for thought – why having a ‘pet-nuptial’ agreement is the ultimate preparation

Couples who have adopted a pet during the pandemic can save themselves the unnecessary heartache of losing shared pets by arranging a 'pet-nuptial' agreement in case – obviously here at County Wedding Magazines HQ we truly hope it's not the case – of future separation with their partner. For custody of furry friends, there is currently no official legally binding measures in place for what happens to pets after a breakup. Legally a pet is seen as an asset, and as with any assets in a divorce, ownership will be decided by the court - however having a prearranged agreement in place, commonly known as a prenuptial agreement, can assist the court to make a decision.
