Hello lovely readers and welcome to another issue of Your East Midlands Wedding. We’re well into winter now and something about the season screams romance; maybe it’s the darker nights, the cosy atmosphere, roaring fireplaces or the falling snow. Either way, it’s the perfect time of year for weddings with glamorous, rustic and whimsical themes taking centre stage.

Couples can get creative when planning their dream aesthetic with so many fun colour schemes to pick from, including forest green and berry, indigo and orchid or light blue and white.

This issue is packed full of wedding inspiration, including top advice from the experts, stunning real weddings, styled shoots and not forgetting our venues feature dedicated to winter wonderland settings – your magical backdrop could be waiting!

Losehill House Hotel

Losehill House Hotel & Spa is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park in a secluded spot with stunning views overlooking the countryside. The property is set amongst some of the best countryside for walking and outdoor activities in England and is closely situated near the charming villages of Castleton and Edale.

Originally an arts and crafts house back in 1914, the venue was redeveloped as a boutique country hotel and spa with beautiful wedding spaces. Inside, guests will find exceptional facilities, including the swimming pool area with sauna and steam rooms, the terrace with a hot tub and luxurious public areas.

The venue has many different wedding spaces that can accommodate different sized weddings, including The Orangery, which caters for up to 80 people for ceremonies and receptions, while The Moorgate suite can accommodate 40. Or why not continue the celebrations in the marquee, which is a fantastic choice for wedding breakfasts with 120 guests for a sit-down meal. For intimate weddings, the private dining room is available for up to 10 guests. In the summer months, couples can exchange vows outside on the gazebo if the weather permits.

Entertainment is available in The Orangery and lounge area for evening receptions, with both spaces catering for parties between 80 to 120 people.
