As we say hello to 2023, I can’t help but reflect on the past year and what an incredible 12 months it has been with many unforgettable moments, milestones and new experiences. I’m so thankful to have created many amazing memories with loved ones and finally be able to travel again to some amazing destinations.

Tissington Hall

Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Peak District National Park, Tissington Hall is truly an unrivalled location with beautiful country views. The historic 17th-century building is a fabulous setting for weddings and can be hired exclusively for each event.

Francis FitzHerbert built the Grade II listed building, which features an imposing southern approach via a grand gateway and an avenue of lime trees. Couples will fall in love with the gardens that stretch more than five acres and provides the perfect backdrop to wedding photography.

Exchange vows in the Main Hall, which can accommodate 90 people inside and 120 outside on the terrace. The space includes original features such as the elegant and ornate Jacobean fire place. For religious ceremonies, The Church of St. Mary’s is only a short walk away and can host 150 loved ones.

Guests can enjoy drinks receptions in the hall and around the gardens with guests having the opportunity to wander around the rooms in the hall and seek out their favourite books in the library.

The Arboretum Pavilion marquee offers gorgeous panoramic views across the parkland and has been specifically designed to house fabulous receptions in the gardens. The marquee has been finished to the highest standard with stunning crystal chandeliers and a starlit ceiling, which provides a romantic atmosphere. Or why not opt for The Pavilion for wedding breakfasts with 150 people and evening receptions with 200? For intimate wedding breakfasts with 60 people, the stunning 18th-century Carriage House has been sympathetically restored and retains many of its original features. An additional 20 guests can join the evening receptions.

Why leave the beautiful Tissington Estate when the venue can accommodate up to 17 guests within the Tissington village? The Bridal Suite is a romantic space that has been tastefully decorated and furnished. It comprises of a large bed, a dressing table, a chaise lounge and a roll-top bath.

Fragrance hacks to make your scent last longer

As we all start clutching our pennies a little bit tighter, we're asking the experts for some tricks to make a beauty product last for longer. No more splashing on our perfume with 1,000 spritz a day, Fragrance Expert and Head of Marketing at The Fragrance Shop, Iember Gordon reveals how we can make a couple spritzes last all day, and our perfumes have a longer lifespan. 1. Apply perfume right after your shower "The best time to spray perfume on your skin is right after your shower. This is because moisture gives your scent something to hold on to, so spraying your signature scent on after your skin has been freshly washed boosts its staying power."
