Hello lovely readers and welcome to another issue of Your East Midlands Wedding. Firstly, I want to say congratulations on your engagement! In this magazine, you’ll find plenty of top tips, advice and wedding inspiration to make the planning experience more straightforward – we know how overwhelming this process can be without any guidance.
It’s no secret summer is a time of year perfect for weddings with colourful seasonal flowers and more daylight for those all-important photos. Al fresco ceremonies and receptions are popular this time of year because more outdoor spaces can be utilised – just picture your guests playing lawn games or having cocktails while soaking up the sun and enjoying clear skies!
Check out our venue styling feature where you’ll find advice on how to transform venues for outdoor weddings, intimate nuptials and grand affairs.
If you’re at the start of your wedding journey, you’re in for a treat as we’ve searched high and low to find beautiful barn venues perfect for rustic-style weddings. If you want your wedding featured in the magazine enter online here: www.youreastmidlands.wedding/get-involved

Cleatham Hall Hotel
As soon as couples enter Cleatham Hall, they’re welcomed by an historical interior and a passionate, hard-working team. The charming property boasts many original architectural features, including its dramatic cantilever-stone staircase that’s picture perfect.
Driving through the gate and curving through the ancient beech trees, guests will arrive at the front door to make their grand entrance. The Palladian-style building was rebuilt in 1855 and the interior flows from one space to another with easy access to the 10-acre grounds, which feature magnificent ancient beech trees and rare hollies.
Exchange vows outside with 80 guests, in the Ceremony Room with 50 people or in the Orangery for 80. In the evening, couples can use the Orangery as a reception space for 60 loved ones and 20 more in the adjoining drawing room.
Cleatham Hall is a boutique hotel with a restaurant and licensed bar, which includes wines from around the world, draught premium lager, beers, ciders and a selection of spirits. Guests can mingle out on the terrace and there’s a sitting room that’s perfect for a quiet area.
The hotel sleeps up to 18 people in eight bedrooms and can recommend other nearby accommodation for other guests. If couples opt for the Accommodation Package, they’ll receive a night’s stay in the bridal suite on the wedding night.
