February/March 2023

Hello lovely readers and welcome to another issue of Your East Midlands Wedding.

This year we’re already seeing showstopping nuptials around the counties with stunning touches and heartwarming moments.

As we look to the year ahead, I can’t wait to see weddings feature Pantone’s colour of the year – viva magenta. The shade will undoubtedly impact the industry thanks to its bold and empowering hue.

Congratulations if you’ve just got engaged over the festive period! If I could share one piece of advice for wedding planning, it would be to ensure the day reflects you both – don’t get sidetracked trying to please others.

Planning your big day should be a fun experience where you find a theme you both love, a colour scheme to complement your day, a showstopping venue and talented companies who can bring your vision to life.

There’s a reason traditional weddings have been popular for decades. The classic styling, grand settings and formal attire will always create elegant nuptials year-round. But expect to see more couples breaking away from tradition in 2023.

If you don’t know where to start with the planning process, you’re in luck as we’ve been busy sourcing the very best local suppliers to provide top inspiration. Expect to see talented florists, photographers, bakers, videographers, venue stylists and more.

That’s all from me! I hope you enjoy reading this magazine as much as I‘ve loved putting it together.

Here’s to another year of fabulous weddings!

Crown Hall Farm

Located on the outskirts of Spalding in Lincolnshire, the Crown Hall Farm is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

The property was originally a working farm but now hosts stunning nuptials in a tranquil setting. The team has more than 20 years of experience in the weddings and events industries. With exceptional and friendly service, they’ll work with nearlyweds to create dream events.

As pairs enter Crown Hall Farm through the large gates, they’re embraced with lush greenery and a tree-lined driveway that creates a calming environment. The grounds were designed by Chelsea Flower Show award winner Adam Frost and have many beautiful photo opportunities to discover. The large lake creates a perfect backdrop to ceremonies in the characterful boat house. The space is full of character, with rustic furniture and a PA system for music. Couples can enjoy drinks receptions at the bar boat, which is central to the grounds and provides a fun feature.

The large marquee has a porcelain tiled floor, climate control and panoramic windows that look out over the grounds. Here pairs can exchange vows with 150 loved ones and host receptions with 250. The grass outside the marquee provides the perfect spot for garden games and other entertainment, while the picnic benches create a relaxing space for guests to enjoy a drink and catch up. The team offer a wide range of catering options, and even has a pizza shack with a wood-fired oven.

In 2022, the team added accommodation to the farm and a meeting room, which can be used for larger bridal parties to get ready or for the formal meeting with the registrar before ceremonies.
