Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa

Ringwood Hall Hotel & Spa is an impressive Georgian manor house set within 19th-century formal gardens, which has been the venue’s centrepiece for more than 200 years. From a rolling parkland to a secret woodland and kitchen garden – everything has been lovingly restored to its former glory.

The venue’s charming and elegant interior is full of character with high ceilings, ornate chandeliers and period features. With multiple spaces available for a wedding, the venue is perfect for any special day no matter the size. The Portland suite features large multi-paned windows which provides plenty of light for a ceremony and reception for 80 people.

Next is the Chatsworth suite with an original marble fireplace, high ceilings, chandeliers and views over the sweeping lawns. This area can accommodate 85 guests for a ceremony, 50 for a wedding breakfast and 80 in the evening.

For larger weddings, the Ringwood suite can hold 250 loved ones for the ‘I dos’, 130 for the wedding breakfast and 250 for the evening celebration. This area has been restored and exhibits all of the glamour of a vintage-style ballroom.

The Hollingwood suite is situated on the first floor with a beautiful fireplace, bay windows and stunning views over the gardens. Exchange vows in front of 60 loved ones and continue the celebration with 40 people in the evening. For a more intimate wedding, the Cavendish suite is great for a ceremony with 24 people and has excellent views over the gardens.

Situated on the rolling lawns, the Garden Pavilion is a picture-perfect space for an outdoor ceremony and the Italian Gardens has a beautiful pergola and tranquil settings. Tucked away in award-winning gardens with views of the surrounding woodland, these areas are ideal for a reception with 180 guests during the day and 350 in the evening.

When couples tie the knot at this venue, they’ll receive a complimentary honeymoon suite on the night of the wedding and reduced rates on their first anniversary stay.

Retreat to the city at The Marylebone, London

As the country prepared for Lockdown Part II, my husband and I managed to sneak in a last-minute escape to the city to enjoy a much-needed retreat at The Marylebone. Nestled in the hotel's super-trendy namesake neighbourhood, between the Georgian Welbeck Street and the part-pedestrianised Marylebone Lane, you're just a short walk from London's most famous Monopoly locations, from Bond Street to Mayfair.
