Hodsock Priory

Hodsock Priory was lovingly restored in 1829 has been the home of the Buchanan family for nine generations. Having once entertained four English kings, including Henry VIII, the venue epitomises a country house-style with modern touches.

Down the sweeping driveway, guests will approach the impressive archway of Nottinghamshire’s last remaining Grade I listed Tudor Gatehouse. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the venue’s complete with a terrace, perfect for reception drinks, and a lake with a rowing boat. Panelled Hall is a stunning space where traditional ceremonies take place for 100 guests and remains true to its heritage with a modern twist. The warm and welcoming room is adorned with family portraits and elegant wallpaper while the high windows frame breathtaking views.

Adjacent to the Panelled Hall is the Buchanan Hall that boasts a luxurious neutral palette and bay windows with views of the historic gatehouse.

For small and intimate weddings, there’s no better space than the light and airy Ante Room or the traditional Library, which overlooks the gardens and lake. Or why not say ‘I do’ under the romantic Georgian gazebo in the heart of the gardens?

Hodsock Priory has been hosting spectacular parties for centuries. The Pavilion has been designed with the existing architecture to create an unrivalled space for the wedding breakfast (130 people) and reception (240).
