Jordan and Amie had known of each other since school but only started talking after they left. Amie says, "We instantly clicked and could see a future together." At this point, the couple learnt new and exciting things about one another and their love grew stronger as time went on. For Amie's 21st birthday, Jordan popped that important question at the Eiffel Tower's restaurant, what's more romantic than the city of love?
Here Amie tells us more about their special day...
For favours, we choose to have personalised shot glasses with a bride and groom sketch and our names and date of our wedding on.
For our centrepieces we had glass bottles and jars wrapped in twine and added little artificial bouquets, table numbers and candles which were all placed on wooden log slices.
We used artificial flowers around the venue as decorations.
Different types of décor on the day included love letters, a sweetcart, post box, guest book, lots of glass bottles decorated in twine scattered around the venue and hessian table runners.
Our choice of transport was from Cupid Carriages Sheffield.
A funny part of the day was when Jordan forgot to pack the pageboys' underpants which we realised at 10:30 am and someone had to quickly bring them over to where I was getting ready at the Bentley Hotel and spa.
The Beauty Spa went above and beyond and fitted in all my beauty appointments before the big day – I was there daily for a whole month!
Our photographer went above and beyond rushing around to get the best photos, he would be lying down and all sorts to get good shots. He was super professional and asked us what we would like him to wear on our day.
Our venue was amazing and ensured we had the best day ever, they let us go in the week before to set up the marquee and add our touch with our decorations, garden games, children's toys and the sweet cart.
A memorable moment was seeing Jordan's reaction when I walked down the aisle and the confetti being thrown.
To entertain the guests we had a DJ, magician and a photo booth.
My bridesmaids wore multiway dusky pink dresses and the flowergirls wore ivory lace dresses.
The groom wore a dark grey tailcoat with grey tartan waistcoat and a pink cravat which matched the groomsmen and pageboys but Jordan had a rose buttonhole to stand out.
I wore an Enzoani Masha dress, Swarovski necklace, bracelet and earrings and to finish the look off I had Rainbow Club shoes and clutch bag.
Think realistically about the time you book the service for. We chose 11:30 am and started getting ready at 7am but it was still such a rush.
A tip would be to have an engagement shoot or pre-wedding shoot. We had ours in May 2019 about eight weeks before the big day and it helped us relax so much more with the photographer and in front of the camera!
