Siobhan Rutledge, 28, married Matt Paterson Lewis, 29, at St Mary's Church followed by a reception at Dodford Manor on 13th May, 2017.
Dodford Manor's such a beautiful venue and we hadn't seen any thing else like it. We both knew immediately that we wanted to book it.
Matt wore a bright navy suit with brown shoes. He knew he wanted to wear blue straight away so it was pretty easy for him.
I tried on about 20 dresses before I found the one. I was going to think about it more and come back but the lady in the boutique said, “If you go into another shop now, what would you ask for?” I would have asked for that dress – so my decision was made.
I had three bridesmaids; my sister Kelly, best friend Kirsty and Matt's little sister Rosie. They wore the same style of dress but in different shades of pastel.
For my bouquet I chose pink and white roses with gypsophila mixed in. I felt it was a classic option that complemented the theme and venue.
Our guests loved the photo booth and sweet cart.
To decorate the room we had pastel-coloured bunting, jars of flowers and gypsophila, light-up 'love' letters, fairylights, candles, lanterns and personalised signs.
I wore more make-up than usual and opted for fake lashes to enhance my eyes. I wanted to look as natural as possible.
Our table plan was one of my favourite elements from the day. We used a ladder that had jars of flowers, copper string lights, a personalised sign and the table plan printed onto separate cards, which were pegged onto lace stretched across the rungs.
Only one guest and the photographer knew about the surprise guest of honour. His arrival was a brilliant moment!
We had a three-tier cake in the same colours as the bridesmaid's dresses. It tasted great but my favourite part was the personalised topper which said, 'The Patersons' in a gold glitter wooden style to match the table numbers.
We had personalised boxes for our guests to take slices of cake home in.
We had a band in the evening who were excellent– they learnt our first dance song especially.
We used cookies instead of the usual place cards, which we thought was a nice touch.
Lauren was a fabulous photographer, she's very professional but makes you feel really relaxed.
Our friends and family kept telling us how laid- back we seemed and how much we looked like we were enjoying the day rather than stressing about it.
