Lottie Llewelyn, married Andrew Wells, both 26, at The West Mill, Derby on 19th July, 2017.
Andrew, his best man Robin and ushers Matthew, Michael, Joshua and Darryl wore navy suits and Andrew wore a blue and orange Ted Baker tie. He's not really that enthusiastic about fashion so finding his outfit was quite a chore for him.
My dress was nothing like what I wanted but I said I'd try it on for fun. I put it on and felt like a princess! It had a gorgeous old-Hollywood feel to it, which I loved.
I wanted to look like a pin-up movie star on the day and Sarah Bloor (hair stylist) and Natalie Flewitt (make-up artist) elevated my vintage style and made me feel amazing!
Our bridesmaids, Rosie, Rosamund, Alice and Shakira wore navy chiffon dresses with lace sleeves. They were all really laid-back about the style and they all looked amazing.
Our bridesmaids carried posies of bright gerberas. They each had a different colour and they were finished with trailing ribbons on the stems.
Our handmade chalkboard table plan really suited the look of the venue and our day.
I fell in love with The Wes t Mill when we saw the pictures online but walking in it just floored me – I knew that I didn't want to look anywhere else. It has a gorgeous classic feel but with a slightly edg y and industrial look .
We placed flowers matching my bouquet in conical flasks. It was a fun twist and we used different sizes to great effect.
I love bright, fun flowers and Rebecca our florist really brought my ideas to life – my bouquet was just perfect.
We used a decorated railway sleeper provided by the West Mill in the ceremony and reception room.
We had little bunches of gypsophila on the chair ends in the ceremony, each with trailing organza. We also lined the aisle with lanterns from the West Mill as well.
Our cake was brightly coloured, fun and just so us! We had three flavours that were all amazing and the decorations were cute and tasty. I keep trying to think of more occasions to order cake.
Dan our photographer was great to work with throughout the whole process and made us feel so comfortable in our engagement shoot and on the wedding day. Our photos are amazing and everyone loves them!
Our videogame-themed favours were sherbet filled test tubes labelled as health, mana or strength potion. We also had a treasure chest filled with chocolate coins and jelly beans for the loot and jewels to collect!
We also had a cheese-cake from the West Country Cheese Co for those without a sweet tooth.
Instead of canapés, we had an ice cream cart! It was amazing – there was eight flavours, sprinkles, sauces, fudge sticks and flakes – it was a dream come true and went down so well during the drinks reception!
We put together a playlist for the evening party. It was a great mixture of old and new songs that got everyone up and dancing – the dancefloor was never empty!
