Jewellery vs skin tones

Jewellery looks different on every person because of our skin tones and when it comes to picking that special jewellery for your wedding, it’s important to understand what colours match you the best.

Jewellery vs skin tones: Image 1 Finding out your skin tone can be tricky and people get it confused with their skin colour. A good trick to knowing and understanding it, is by looking at your veins in natural lighting. If your veins are blue or purple then most likely you have a cool skin tone which goes beautifully with light and white metals such as white gold, platinum and silver. Important gemstones to look out for are red, blue, purple and green colours that go with the skin perfectly.
However, if your veins are more green you will have a warm skin tone that will look great with rose gold, copper and brass jewellery. Keep your eyes peeled for any gemstones that are earthy tones like orange, brown, yellow or turquoise. If you have a neutral skin tone, you get the best of both worlds with white metals and yellow metals matching well, lucky you!
Remember that this information is a guideline only, feel free to break the rules because your personality and preferences are the most important part of picking the jewellery. This is just a little help if you are confused about what to buy. When you find that perfect item you will 'shine bright like a diamond'.
