Studio Chocolate explain show stopping cake trends
Big, bold, beautiful and dripping in chocolate – next year showstopping wedding cakes will pair timeless flavours with striking chocolate work. Think dramatic shards cascading across three tiers of Belgian chocolate sponge, thoughtfully adorned with handmade truffles, bonbons, macarons and delicate piping work.
The company's founder Ellie Wharrad says, "We love to put our spin on current cake trends. Icing shards and extravagant piping work have been high in demand this year and we use chocolate as our medium to create the same visual effect. Often people can't tell what our sculptures are made from and they're blown away to discover it's chocolate!"
