The Old Vicarage in Elkesley is the perfect wedding venue
The venue is set within five acres of wooded grounds, divided by the shallow River Poulter, and is the perfect space for photographic opportunities. Couples get access to the property from Friday to decorate the wedding spaces to make their day extra special.
Upon entering the venue, couples are blown away by the beautiful oak hallway and doors bearing the trademark of Mousey Thompson, the famous Yorkshire wood carver. With its magnificent marble fire place, deep cornices and oak touches, the Osbourne Suite offers all the delights of a Bygone age and can cater to 60 seated guests. The French doors provide an entrance to the extended patio, down to the river’s edge and beyond. Or opt for The Pergola, which can accommodate 250 people.
Designed by Holly Nook Designs, the wood for the bespoke natural-oak structure has been handchosen from deep in the forest to hold the shingle timbered roof. Inlayed with natural Yorkshire stone slabs, this space can be lit with candles, lanterns or lamps. For intimate events, The Snug offers a truly private space for eight people to enjoy.
The on-site log cabin can sleep up to six guests, while the Coach House can sleep up to four. There’s even the option for loved ones to camp, which is perfect for the adventurous kind.
