Travel Chaps will help you plan the perfect honeymoon
There is so much to do when planning your wedding, but your honeymoon shouldn't be a cause of...
Planning a wedding also means having a million and one things to deal with as the big day approaches, including wanting to look and feel your best. Trying to find a diet and fitness regime that'll suit your needs is tricky when going it alone, but fear not – we have a new personal trainer on the block who's ready to help you, and I'm taking one for the team and trying it out!Having always struggled to keep in shape, not knowing how to properly balance my meals or watch my portion sizes and not being a huge fan of the gym, I've taken on the challenge and will be sharing my journey with you as I go along. I didn't go into this lightly but once I'd met Tiger, I couldn't resist trying it out.
Tyrone 'Tiger' Robinson of Nottingham's Team Tiger loves helping people become better versions of themselves, both physically and mentally and I wanted to find out more. As an editor at County Weddings, I love getting to know our fabulous big-day suppliers and being local to Team Tiger, I reached out to see what his service is all about... little did I know, it would result in me embarking on a 12-week transformation!
The thought of a personal trainer is a daunting one for many, but Tiger is such a great guy that from the minute we met I felt in safe hands. There was no judgment, just honest, open advice and guidance and the biggest part for me was his belief in me – I told him my body hang ups and by the time my initial consultation had ended, I knew I was going to give this a good go and that Tiger was with me all the way. I asked Tiger what he loves about his job...
"For me, it's not all about a quick fix to help you look and feel better for a one-off event, like a wedding or a holiday, it's about making lifestyle changes that will stay with you forever to help you lead a longer, healthier and happier life," he says.
I'm a member of our local gym and therefore, my 12-week transformation includes an easy-to-follow workout plan with video guides, a nutrition plan that does all the thinking for me (what to eat, when to eat it and quantities) and lots of advice and guidance on wellbeing, including the importance of quality sleep, sunlight and drinking lots of water.
It's all provided for you (easy peasy!) – but the hard part is yet to come – being self-motivated, preparing to push myself in the gym, staying strong when all I fancy is a takeaway and being 100% committed.
Taking the first step is for many people, the hardest part but once that's done, you've met Tiger and your plan is in place – you can then be reassured that you will absolutely achieve your goals (no matter how long it takes you) and feel amazing on your big day – it's all in your hands!
Keep a look out for my updates as I travel along my healthkick journey! I'll be sharing the highs, the lows, and everything in between and might even be brave enough to share the odd pic!
